Henry Palmer (1582 - 1644)

Naval officer and controller of the Navy. He commanded the Antelope on the Algiers expedition of 1620–21 and was captain of the Rainbow in the narrow seas in 1623. His stock declined after falling out with the Duke of Buckingham. It is probably he, rather than his father by the same name, who is named as a benefactor in Musaeum Tradescantianum.
