Michael Wentworth (1655 - 1696)

Descended from a junior branch of the family which acquired Woolley in 1599; married Dorothy (d. 15 Jan 1732), daughter of Sir Godfrey Copley, 1st Baronet of Sprotborough. He was on the Yorkshire commission of the peace by 1680 and was knighted in 1681. He served as member of parliament for Aldborough several times between 1685 and 1696 (Henning).
