Thomas Wharton (1614 - 1673)

Physician and anatomist. Accompanied by Elias Ashmole and his wife, he visited John Tradescant the younger at his South Lambeth House on 15 June 1650 (MacGregor, 24). He later helped Ashmole in cataloguing the Tradescants' collection. Leith-Ross notes that he is probably "T. W." identified in Musaeum Tradescantianum as a donor of three particular items (121).
