William Murray (c.1600 - Dec 1655)
Childhood whipping boy of Charles I and later Gentleman of the Bedchamber and an adviser to the king.He was named a benefactor in Musaeum Tradescantianum (1656), where he is identified by his common name even though he had received his title in 1646 and was elevated to the nobility in 1651.
