Alias William CleyburneMerchant, surveyor and early settler in the colonies of Virginia, Maryland, and the area around the Chesapeake Bay. Leith-Ross identifies him as the "Captain Cleborne" mentioned as a benefactor in Musaeum Tradescantianum. Presumably the " Old Gentleman, Col. Cleyborn" mentioned by John Clayton (121).
