Richard Plumleigh (1595/6 - c. 1636)
Navy captain. He was recommended by Sir James Bagge for naval command on the Cadiz expedition, serving under the Duke of Buckingham. In November 1632, he was appointed as Admiral of the Channel fleet and was captain of the Victory. According to Leith-Ross, he was at siege of the Isle of Rhé with Tradescant (174). He is named as a benefactor in Musaeum Tradescantianum.
