George Walker (1645/6 - 1690)

Church of Ireland clergyman and joint-governor of Londonderry during its siege (appointed 1689) and Bishop designate of Derry. He was the son of the Rev. George Walker (c.1600–1677) and Ursula (d. 1654), daughter of Sir John Stanhope (1586-1627) of Melwood, Yorkshire. He received his Doctorate of Divinity from Oxford in 1690. His daughter Charity married John Dyneley of Bramhope (d. 1712 or 1714).
