Christopher Love Morley (1645/6 - fl. 1703)
Physician. Love-Morley matriculated at Leiden University on 18 February 1676 at the age of thirty and graduated MD in 1679. He was admitted honorary fellow of the College of Physicians on 30 September 1680 and admitted a full member on 12 April 1687 (Munk, 450). In 1683 he travelled to the Indies. He was author of De Morbo Epidemico Annorum 1678-9 (London, 1680) and Collectanea Chemica Leydensia (Leiden, 1684). As late as 1704 he was listed as a member of the RCP. Sir Thomas Browne, in a letter to his son Edward dated 18 August 1680, describes “Lovemorly” as “an ingenious civil person, and industrious” (vol. 1, p. 280).
