Robert Plot (1640 [bap.] - 1696)

First keeper of the newly opened Ashmolean Museum, a post he resigned in the winter of 1690.

John Bargrave sent Plot a small lamp and a bottle that he found in the catacombs in Rome (Bann, 88).
