Samuel Doody (28 May 1656 - 1706)
Apothecary and associate of many collectors. He set up shop in the Strand and became caretaker of the Chelsea physic garden in 1693, continuing until 1706. He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1695. His funeral sermon was preached by his friend Adam Buddle.
