View Larger MapDescription of institution: Wiverton Hall is an English country house near Tithby, Nottinghamshire. The village of the same name became completely depopulated, perhaps as a result of enclosure in 1510. The village of Wiverton (earlier pronounced "Werton"), was impoverished and only five houses remained. All but the Grade II* listed gatehouse of the mansion was destroyed in the English Civil War.
