Annotation:Reverse manuscript. 93 x 146 mm with 190 leaves plus end papers. A prepared volume (notebook), ruled across top and left margins. Pages numbered 1 through 352, with more pages added at the back. Pages 32 to 235 are blank. Pages 236 to 352 are filled from the other direction. In reverse is “A Description of ye Countrey of Zetland by M. T. V.," numbered in top right from 1 to 137. The leaf before it, on the verso, has a note in pencil: “By Theodore Umphray Minister of Nesting.” The NLS catalogue suggests this latter work is not in Sibbald's hand.
