Starkey Middleton, Dr. (3 Apr 1688 - 24 Jun 1755)

"[E]ldest son [of Henry Middleton, London surgeon], born 3 April, 1688, entered Merchant Taylor's School, London, 10 Sept., 1697. Was a surgeon in London. He appears to have been twice married. "Susanna, wife of Mr. Starkey Myddelton, citizen and surgeon 1718," mentioned by Lysons as on a tombstone at St. Leonard's, Bromley, was probably his first wife. His second wife was named Dinah. In his will, which is dated 12 Feb., 1744-5, he desires to be buried in the family vault, at St. Leonard's, Bromley. He died at Bath, probably on a visit there, and was buried in Bath Abbey, 24 June, 1755" (Earwaker, I.163).

Possibly the Dr. Starkey Middleton named as a "benefactor" in the catalogues of Salter's museum, as early as 1737.
Relationships: Starkey Middleton was a donor to James Salter (-c. 1728)
