Patrick Ogilvy ( - 1714)
Succeeded as Laird of Boyne sometime between 1666 and 1667 (Tayler, 29). He was trained in law and served as member of parliament for Banffshire from 1669 to 1693; "and in 1681 he was made a Judge of the Court of Session under the title of Lord Boyne" (ibid., 31). "Sir Patrick was altogether one of the most remarkable and many-sided men Banffshire has ever produced" (ibid., 38).
