James Wallace (1642 - 1688)

Scottish minister and topographical writer. His A Description of the Isles of Orkney (1693) was published posthumously from manuscript by his son (also named James) who dedicated the work to Sir Robert Sibbald and included Sibbald's 'An Essay Concerning the Thule of the Ancients' (ODNB).
