Nicholas Starkie (c.1566 - fl. 1612)

Subject of a famous account of witchcraft affecting his two children in 1595, resulting in conflict with Edmund Hartley, an itinerate conjuror, and consultation with John Dee (Poole, 65). Starkie's uncle Roger Nowell would become famous for conducting the trials of the Pendle witches in 1612.
