Description of institution: Owthorne was a town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was situated on the Holderness coast, to the north of Withernsea, and it is one of many settlements that have been lost to coastal erosion. When modern Withernsea expanded, it absorbed the remains of Owthorne in 1891. URL:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owthorne
