Description of institution: Edward Brown references "Bellacherqua" in Bulgaria, probably Byala Cherkva (meaning "white church"), but Droulia identifies Brown's location as the town and municipality of Kuršumlija (or Cursumnè) in Serbia, which was known in English as Bele Crkve (White Churches).
