View Larger MapDescription of institution: Richmond is a town in south west London, England, 8.2 miles (13.2 km) west-southwest of Charing Cross. Historically part of Surrey, it is now part of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. In the late seventeenth-century, there were clay pits in the area, which were the source of fossils for John Woodward (Brayley, 136).
