Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: White stone and label, "fro Cicero's house at Tusculan". A white piece of rough marble-like stone which Bargrave acquired from Cicero's house in Tusculan near Rome. Cicero was a key political figure during the late Roman Republic. He was also a distinguished orator and lawyer. He introduced the Romans to the chief schools of Greek philosophy and created a Latin philosophical vocabulary.] (approx early - mid 17th cent)
