Eros, in Greek mythology, was the primordial god of lust, love, and intercourse; he was also worshipped as a fertility deity. Nemesis, in Greek mythology was the spirit of divine retribution against those who succumb to hubris, vengeful fate personified as a remorseless goddess. The name Nemesis is related to a Greek word meaning "to give what is due".] (approx 2nd cent - 3rd cent AD)
