Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: Bronze statuette of Hercules, drunk and urinating. Documented by Bargrave to have been "dugge out of his temple near the Tyber, at the foot of the Aventine Hill at Rome - still standing, almost all, and made a chappell". Hercules is the Roman name for the mythical Greek hero Heracles, son of Zeus and the mortal Alcmena. In Roman, Renaissance, and post-Renaissance art, Hercules can be identified by his attributes, the lion skin and the club.]
