Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: Necklace of pink and olive mottled beads on a pink cord. This, along with other rosaries and necklaces in the collection, were possibly collected by Bargrave in Loreto, Italy. The building is a site of pilgrimage its foundations were originally at Nazareth in the supposed house in which the Virgin Mary received news that she would give birth to Jesus. It was then picked up by angels and set down in Tersatto, in what is now modern day Croatia, then to Recanti which is in the Marche region of Italy, before finally moved by angels again to its present site.] (mid 17th cent)
