Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: Female figure of devotee holding patera, a round shallow dish or vase used by the Romans who adopted it from the Etruscans at their religious ceremonies, either in making libations of wine to the gods or in receiving the blood of sacrificial victims. Statue not mounted and no matching pedestal contained in cabinet. Out of all the Roman antiquities this is likely to be most ancient with 17th cent repairs visible on right arm, "if not ancient, yet cast from ancient".]
