Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: Small bronze statuette of an Eagle with wings open but not fully outstretched; much like lectern etc. "A Roman aegle, in brass; modern"... Symbolic of leadership and bravery, often known as the "Aquila" and representative of the sacred and highly regarded. Later changed to have two heads as symbolic of the Roman rule and occupation over both East and West.] (early - mid 17th cent)
