Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: Highly polished heart shaped piece of Jasper from the obelisk in Piazza Navona; manufactured into heart shape by Bargrave. See also CANCA-B/19. Jasper is an opaque, impure variety of silica, usually red, yellow or brown in colour. This mineral breaks with a smooth surface, and is used for ornamentation or as a gemstone. It can be highly polished and is used for vases and seals.] (c1646)
