Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: A preserved hippopotamus tooth, probably from Italy where a lot of fossilised remains are found. Advised by Natural History Museum to label as "Hippopotamus sp." as there is no way of identifying sub-species or group. Bargrave describes it as "Item,. a large piece of sea-horse tooth, said to be good against poison, next to a unicorn's horn".] (undated)
