Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: Mother of Pearl plates, finely carved and decorated, fixed on either side of a green silk purse. Purse opens into "V" shape when opened with mother of pearl plates on either side. "A pretty kind of nunn's [sic.] work purse, made of greenish silk, and a carved work mother of pearls shell, presented me like-wise by a nun, for which I paid for double, according to the custom". ] (approx early - mid 17th cent)
