Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: A slender dagger with a turned handle of the same silver coloured metal as the blade. The sheaf is of black leather with point and opening encased in metal, possibly bronze, decoratively worked with a ring for attaching to a thong or cord. The sheaf has some thin pieces of wood within to give shape and a firmer join between the leather, stitched over it, and the metal.". these oval little holes worked on the body of the steel of the stiletto maketh it give an uncurable wound, by reason that a point or tent, with its oils, cannot reach the inward scars and inequalities of the dagger's hollow figures, and so it is impossible to cure such a wound".] (approx early - mid 17th cent)
