Gaspard de Monconys (1592 - 1664)

Collector and jurist. He studied law in Paris and served as king's adviser and criminal lieutenant ("judge" as Bargrave calls him) in Lyon. He amassed a large collection of coins and medals, prints and paintings, and curiosities (curiositas.org).
