David Krieg, Dr. (1669 - 23 Jul 1710)

Physician and fellow of the Royal Society, elected on 11 January 1699. He might have been a collector in his own right. In his manuscript list of collectors, Emanuel Mendes da Coste notes, "Ephemerides Naturae Curiosorum, vol. IV. appendix, p. 41, says, that Dr. David Krieg was sent by, and at he expence of, the Royal Society of London, to travel through the British Colonies in America, and make observations" (206).
