Nikolaus Serarius (1555 - 1609)

Jesuit, historian, and commentator on the Scriptures, with publications on Judaism. Probably the Serarius cited by Grew in relation to a Jewish phylactery (377). Another possibility is Peter Serrarius (1600-1669), who was also interested in and wrote about Judaism, but with a practical rather than academic interest. Authority - early modern
