Alias for Cheffin

Page of His Majesty's Bed Chamber and keeper of Charles II's collections. John Evelyn describes him as keeper of the King's closet. Evelyn visited the King's "Cabinet and Closet of Rarities" on 1st November 1660 (Diary III.119). Evelyn also dined at Chiffinch's house on 28 November 1661 (Diary III.139).
