Thomas Fairfax ( - fl. 1702)

Not to be confused with his cousin General Thomas Fairfax, 3rd Lord Fairfax, nor the Jesuit priest of the same name and unclear family relation. He was a son of the antiquary Charles Fairfax, a younger son of the 1st Lord Fairfax. Thomas lived at the family seat at Menston before moving to Leeds "for the convenience of the church, which he duly and piously frequent[ed] with his lady twice every day," according to his friend Thoresby (Diary, 1.380 dated 1702).
