Gilbert, the elder Heathcote (Aug 1625 - 24 Apr 1690)

An ironmonger in a family with generational interest in lead mining in Derbyshire. He served as alderman and mayor of Chesterfield. Heathcote and is wife, Anne (née Dickons) had seven sons, all of whom became merchants.
