Robert Johnston ( - 1670)

Church of England clergyman. He served in the Westminster Assembly from 1646–1652. The assembly “was commissioned by parliament in July 1643 to revise the doctrine, liturgy, and government of the English church” (Van Dixhoorn). A “character” (presumably a short biography rather than a short satirical sketch) of Johnston was included in a manuscript collected by Thoresby (537).
