Vincent Alsop (1630 - 1703)

Nonconformist clergyman and author of the influential His Mischief of Separation and Melius Inquirenduni (1679). Possibly the Alsop named by Thoresby among "Clergy and Laity, as more eminent for Learning, Benefactions, or military Atchievements" (550).
