William Gurnall (1617 - 1679)

Clergyman, first non-conformist, then conforming. Author of The Christian in Compleat Armour, published in three parts from 1655 to 1662. Probably the Gurnall named by Thoresby among the "Clergy and Laity, as more eminent for Learning, Benefactions, or military Atchievements, &c." (Thoresby, 550).
