Alexander Norman ( - c. 2 Sep 1657)

Cooper. He received the position of Cooper to the Ordnance in 1624, working in the warehouses of the Minories, near the Tower of London. He married Dorcas Chambers, widow of Leonard Chambers (another cooper) and sister of the elder John Tradescant's wife, Elizabeth Day (Leith-Ross, 24-25). Norman was one of the executors of John Tradescant's will. He was buried at St. Botolph's church, Aldgate, on 2 September 1657 (ibid., 104).
