Mr. East ( - fl. 1690)

Named as a source of objects in Courten's records. Kusukawa suggest, "This may be the Mr. East whose address is given as ‘In Walbrook next door to the Bell Inn’, in Courten’s address book [BL, Sloane MS 2944, 3r]" (2, n.2). She suggests another possibility, "one William East who presented to the Royal Society ‘a piece of the true Cinnamon wood, with the bark on it, being about an Inch diameter’ on 17 October 1694" (ibid.). Relationships: Mr. East was a source of object(s) for William Courten (28 Mar 1642-26 Mar 1702)
