Jane Delves (1653 - 1692)

According to Kusukawa, the "C. Delves" named by Courten as a source of objects entering his collection in 1690 could be his
"cousin (his maternal aunt’s daughter) who married in 1674 Sir Thomas Delves (from 1713, the fourth Baronet). Courten reports accompanying her to Dover on her way to Montpellier in 1687 [letter to John Locke, 28 August 1687, no. 956, Correspondence of John Locke 3: 252, n.72]. It could conceivably be her daughter, Elizabeth Delves (1678-1746) – twelve years old at this time – whom Courten calls ‘Cousin Delves’ in his will" (30, n.42).

The latter seems unlikely, given her age at the time.
Relationships: Jane Delves was a cousin of William Courten (28 Mar 1642-26 Mar 1702)
