Edward Smyth, Bishop of Down and Connor (1665 - 1720)

Protestant clergyman, fellow (and later vice-chancellor) of Trinity College, and the bishop of Down and Connor from 1699. Fled to England in 1689, when Dublin was in the possession of James II, and returned to England in 1693 and was appointed chaplain to William III.
