Robert Spotswood (1637 - 1688)

Scottish surgeon in Tangier who gathered plant specimens for Alexander Balaam and Robert Morison. He was father of Alexander Spotswood (1676–1740) who was a British Army officer and lieutenant governor of Colonial Virginia.
