Francis Walwyn (fl. 1737 - c. 28 May 177)


Clergyman and sometime rector of the parish Little Mongeham (Hasted, 9.579-583). Installed Canon (7th Prebend) of Canterbury 14 Apr 1744. 18th-c coin catalogue (Canterbury Cathedral Lit MS E 16c) several Pieces of stone & diverse other little Things and The Seal of the Convent of Newark. found in Dr Wallwyns Prebendal House at Canterbury April 1747. The Prior of Canter bury was visitor of this Convent & probably at it’s Dissolution the Seal was given up to him.
