A Flying-Fish, the Hirundo of Bellonius, their long Fins enable them to fly 200 Paces, when pursued by the Dolphins, Boneto's, &c. They seem to be a Kind of Herrings, as a Learned and Ingenious Author, who calls it therefore, Harengus alatus, informs us (h)(h) Dr. Sloane's Voyage to Jamaica, p. 27.. Don. Jab. Cay M. D.
