Annotation:[Canterbury Catalog: A complete metal padlock with concealed latch to open without a key: "to open, lift side piece from bottom to release front panel". This item is a later addition to the Bargrave Collection and is attributed to the Medieval and Renaissance objects which were assimilated into the collection much later in the late 18th or even early 19th centuries. Thought to be not necessarily connected with John Bargrave or Meric Casaubon.] (late 18th - early 19th cent)
