John Wombwell (1672 - 1733/4)

Attorney, born 15 and baptised 26 October 1672 at Leeds. Buried at Barnsley 21 February 1733/4. Married daughter of Richard Nottingham of Leeds (buried at Barnsley 29 May 1745) (Dugdale, 2: 212).

Probably the John Wombwell who visited Thoresby's museum in 1700, identified in Thoresby's annotation as "gentleman."
