Roger Dodsworth (1585 - 1654)

Antiquary and collector of manuscripts. He collected and transcribed a trove of manuscripts related to Yorkshire and particularly the Fairfax family. He left his manuscripts to Sir Thomas Fairfax, his patron, who in turn bequeathed them to the Bodleian Library.
