John Serocold, Esq. (8 Feb 1723 - 7 Nov 1788)

London merchant and son of John Serocold (1687-1744) and his second wife Elizabeth nee Bumpstead. He w as a partner in the sugar business of Serocold & Jackson, with operations in Jamaica, his partner being John Jackson (1738-1809), who married Serocold's daughter Elizabeth (1749-1832) in St Mary at Hill, London in 1768.

Probably the "John Serecold, Esq." named as a benefactor in the later catalogues of Salter's museum.
