Hubert Tassel ( - fl. 1750)

Named as a "benefactor" in the catalogues of Salter's museum. There was a Hugh Tassel who worked with partner Wargent Nicholson as factors of the South Sea Company in Havana c. 1729-1750, working in the slave trade, while maintaining their private interests (Rutledge, 146, 179; Sorsby, 199). They were replaced in their roles in 1733 and returned to London in the summer of 1737. Relevant locations: Residence at London, England
